Spanish With Tutors is an online-only Spanish language school based in Bogota, Colombia. We specialize in live, one-on-one tutoring sessions conducted via Zoom. Unlike traditional online courses, we do not offer pre-recorded content or MOOCs. Instead, our students schedule live sessions with our experienced tutors at times that suit their busy lives. Our team of tutors follows a standardized lesson plan, but each tutor personalizes the sessions to fit the student's unique learning style and progress. This flexible approach allows students to try different tutors and choose those they connect with the best, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive learning experience.

We use the Natural Approach based on Stephen Krashen’s theories. We also incorporate storytelling methods to help beginners and intermediate students learn vocabulary through simple stories and circular questioning. Additionally, we employ other methods to provide a balanced and effective learning experience. Working adults usually have different learning preferences and needs, and we find that a combination of TPRS with other methods like CLT provides a more balanced and effective approach. In our A2 program, we use a mix of methods, including the Direct Method, Grammar-Translation Method, TPRS, Audio-Lingual Method, and CLT. This combination has proven to be highly effective over the years.
