How do I get started?

Can I start with no Spanish?
Yes. We teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Your tutor works with you at your level, following a clear learning path.
How do the lessons work?
Lessons are live, 1-on-1 and online through Zoom with native tutors from Latin America. Your tutor adapts conversations, useful tasks and guided practice to your level and goals. Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation support what you need to understand and communicate.
Can lessons be adapted to my goals?
Yes. Our tutors adapt standard lessons to your level, interests, and learning goals. You can tell your tutor if you want to focus more on conversation, grammar, pronunciation, travel Spanish, or everyday situations. However, we do not currently offer highly customized lessons that require extensive preparation, specialized materials, or work outside our standard curriculum.
Do you teach children and teens?
Yes. Younger learners use games, stories, and interactive activities suited to their age and level. We also offer support with school Spanish.

What if I feel nervous or need more time?
You do not need to speak perfectly to take part. There is time to understand, ask questions, and try again. Learning has its ups and downs, and your tutor will support you at your pace.
What teaching approach do you use?
We combine teaching approaches around your goals, level and learning needs. Meaningful communication guides the lessons: you work with Spanish you can understand, take part in conversations and complete useful tasks with your tutor’s support. Our approaches include communicative, action-oriented and task-based learning, alongside comprehensible input and guided support. Stories, reading and focused practice are tools we use when they help you learn.
Will I practice writing during lessons?
Our main focus is listening and speaking through conversation. Writing is optional: we work on it when you ask for it in your lessons. Let your tutor know if you would like writing practice or help with schoolwork.
Do I need to buy learning materials?
No. We provide the digital resources you need for your lessons, including grammar guides, vocabulary, and practice exercises.
Can I learn with different tutors?
Yes. You can try different tutors and find the people you connect with. Our tutors share information about your progress so your learning stays connected.
